Khun Lao coffee is a Single Origin coffee organically grown at the heights of 1,150 meter from sea level in Chiang Rai. A special arabica grade that has gone through the dry or natural process. Shade-grown organic coffee means just what it says. It is coffee from trees grown in the shade of other larger trees. Coffee grown this way is the best-quality and best-tasting coffee in the world. It has a richer, fuller flavor and a heartier aroma than coffee grown in full sun. And because the trees grow naturally as part of a mixed forest, it isn’t necessary to cut down other trees and the coffee beans can absorb all the natural nutrients from the soil.

This bean is best enjoyed as a filter coffee, either hot or iced.

Great Coffee for an Aeropress

Found this to be a great coffee in an aeorpress. Full rich flavour, but not at all heavy or bitter. I will definitely buy again.

Pleasant mid-morning coffee

This coffee makes a nice light and bright cup for a morning break.
However, I was a bit disappointed at the roast level. When ordering the roast level was indicated as 3/5, but the coffee delivered was marked as 2/5 roast level. I prefer a 3-4/5 roast level, especially for my first cup in the morning coffee.

Hi Michael, thank you for the feedback, and I’m glad you found the Khun Lao pleasant for a mid-morning break! Following your review, we’ve conducted an internal check and found outdated descriptions for certain coffee beans. We have since updated the descriptions for our entire coffee selection, and rest assured, there will be no more surprise upsets moving forward.

We’d also like to offer you light compensation, and I will get in touch via email.

Cheers,
Jake
